im not. saying. that i'm adding him. i'm just saying it's a running gag in my rp career that whenever i post a poll, it ends up in the messiest, most hysterical ties known to man.
and you people. you beautiful, freakish people. came together in a single voice. and said. 'add the flamboyant one.' not a single vote for art*mis entr*ri. it all went to j*rl*xle. all of it. that never happens. i am afraid if i do not add him in the future i am somehow defying the will of the gods.

Asking you the asks!
😂 What’s the funniest comment someone has left on a fic of yours?
🎶 What music do you listen to when you write?
✏️ What is your fave fic from another writer?
💡 What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been inspired by?
Thanks so much for the ask!
😂 What’s the funniest comment someone has left on a fic of yours? I can't think of a specific one right now, but I always get a kick out of it when people accuse me of murder or yell at me in all caps or emojis because of feels.
🎶 What music do you listen to when you write? Very much depends on my mood and the mood I'm going for in the story. It's 99% instrumental, though, because lyrics distract me too much. My little pea brain can't deal with that much input lol.
✏️ What is your fave fic from another writer? Oooooh, so many! Off the top of my head, there's Kadi's "A Story Of Us" and lolcat's "Folie a Deux" and okaynextcrisis' "Build a Fence", but there are so, so many good stories out there.
💡 What’s the weirdest thing you’ve been inspired by? I honestly have no idea. I'm lucky if I still remember why I got off the sofa by the time I'm standing on my feet. Don't ask me to think back that far. 😂😂😂😂😂

Next up is Kyungsoo to wake up the Kadi shippers https://twitter.com/PopBase/status/1719448303954538571?t=o1KBI7WZGtqtFaVd2ZiCNw&s=19
First of all this is not the first time he would write such thing on twitter he did it in 2019 and in 2021 and 2022 before blabbering go read and watch videos and the story of Harry And Louis's relationship. You can't know better than their fans who STANNED them for 13 years now.
And don't compare them to Kadi, because each have their own story.
The thing is you should know that Larry dated though they were in a relationship in love but the world and industry was harsh on them they had to give up each other, they ended up on bad terms with Louis Choosing career, Harry later on wrote songs for his solo albums and he literally described louis and mentioned him in his songs he was deep hurt and devastated and did drugs and became alcoholic and became who he became now, a ball of a confused chic feminily dressed up depressed man . And Louis was discussed to have a lavender marriage and footages of Louis talking shit about Elenore his gf now his fiancé/wife, he said he's tired of this media setup with her and that he doesn't want to act as her bf and there was even a footage of him telling at her that he doesn't love her. There's a whole footage with his voice and face talking, after the video was out he was in mass trouble especially that he got attacked and he was seen about to kiss harry on the lips he was over him leaning literally and the band members told them the cameras are still rolling, they both became pale and stopped immediately, same day same interview the cameras were off but the live was still going and you could only hear the One direction members talking and telling Louis and Harry " you almost got caught don't do that shit again here" or something like that. I don't remember it's been years.
They were ruined by media and their company and Simon Cowell that pedophile who ruined them, threatened them to end their careers, and separated them with every will power he had, he made Them both date girls they didn't even know, or else he threatened them to cancel their contract and they were only 16 and 18 year olds teens. They had dreams. They had to give up each other for their dreams.
But what their stupid fans couldn't understand is that : "THEY FUCKING BROKE UP YEARS AGO ON BAD TERMS" leave them alone! Their fans didn't wanna leave them alone. They didn't wanna let them go and kept with the Delulu conspiracies and theories.
Before it wasn't conspiracies and theories , There were real legit footages and audios and photos of them hooking up traveling kissing trashing on their fake gfs, saying they wish they can be together, writing songs about each other describing each other while mentioning their initials in their songs, THEY HAVE MATCHING TATTOOS and THEIR INITIALS Tattooed into their skin! But later on they had to cover it with another tattoo which shows they ended their relationship, but some of the matching tattoos were kept. Harry literally said " Louis is my bf" when they asked him what's their status.
The theories came after they broke up and left each on his path with Harry broke. And devastated writing songs about Louis and always mentioning "L" and saying " I miss you L" "I love you L" doing the "L" sign on his shows and concerts, wearing shirt with "L" on it having "L " tattoo, saying his heard was broken by the closest person to him and it's a boy with "Blue eyes, thin lips, sleepy eyes" or something like that he even called his name or his initial in the song I don't remember the lyrics that was years ago etc... So they were a thing, everything is still on YouTube with proof and evidence and footages not just talk or conspiracy theories.
And Louis at first after one direction broke off, he was the one who let it drag on as he was constantly asked about Larry and if it is real and he never denied it he was actually entertained by the question, he's the one responsible for this mess he created, he never denied that he never dated Harry he just laughed it off and smirked and winked and hinted they're still together he was never annoyed by the question from interviewers and fans before 2019.
But when they broke up! That's it! Fans should have stopped! But they didn't and couldn't which is dumb! They kept harassing him, but it was partly Harry's fault as he was still mourning and couldn't move on and he still kept singing about Louis and writing songs about him and crying talking about him and their first dates when he was 16 and the place their dates took place and those places were confirmed by Larry themselves that they went to them together. But Louis was attacked by Larry stans and Harry's solo stans for hurting Harry because the latter never stopped singing about him , and Louis wanted this guilt off his chest eventually he was annoyed and it's not the first time he would say he is annoyed by "Larry" fans and questions.
And this account's admins all said many times " Once Kdiy will break up we will be the first ones to tell you to let go of them, because we don't do the Delulu here".
You saw how I'm always against the delusions of fans and I tell some Kdiysts here that they're being Delulu when they're being Delulu. I call them out.
So the moment there will be no Kdyi, with brave heart I'll come tell you " Let them go, stop your Delulu and get back to reality and leave them alone!" But for now, we good 🤣
They're fine 😁🤫
Why are you so triggered by Kdyi, it's okay don't believe in them. Ah! I get it ! You're mad at yourself for not being able to support your Kyungsoo Oppa " unconditionally no matter what he is no matter what his sexuality is no matter what decisions he takes" like you promised with yourself !!?? You're mad at yourself for not acception him the way he is like how you promised him and yourself. 🧐
Will you be happy if he dated a woman? I don't think so 🤔 I think you're the "Oppar is mine" type of obsessive fan? You'd rather believe he's virgin and never touched a woman than believe he actually is in a stable relationship with a man or a woman. I think both scenarios hurt you.
So believe whatever makes you sleep at night , Patricia.

Popping into your inbox to participate in the ask game! 3, 16 and 17, if that's alright with you.
Hell yeah amigo :D
3. 5 songs you have been recently obsessed with?
First 2 gotta go to Jerobeam Fenderson's Intersect and Function. Something about the sounds he uses to make his oscilloscope music scratches my brain right
Uhh the other 3 would probably go to The God Machines, Delicate weapon and the NCPD prowl from the cyberpunk ost, I've been listening to it since I started playing. Though as a bonus I associate these 3 tracks with AIDAN a lot lol :P
16. Favorite instrument?
The flute! I played it for 9 years before school got too busy for me to continue. I miss it a lot.. Honestly it's such an underrated instrument in my opinion, especially when it comes to the woodwind discussion since modern flutes are made out of metal!
17. Tell us about your favorite character?
Y'all love to hear me yap about AIDAN huh /lh
You did get lucky timing-wise though!! A post I reblogged reminded me a lot of him and Kady, mostly in their differences in how they handle grief. AIDAN doesn't explicitly grieve, but when you start to read between the lines, he does.
I'd love to especially touch on olivia, because this example is the clearest one, I'll put that under the cut for illuminae files prequel (Memento) spoilers for those who would like to read it blindly!
At the very end of the book, AIDAN writes a 'letter' to Olivia's deceased father, just talking about what happened. Olivia died trying to harm AIDAN - even succeeding to a degree - until UTA marines took her out. Before this occurred though, she was wrecked by grief over her dad and lover who died in a freak accident just a few hours before her attempt on AIDAN. (Is that a sufficient word?)
Either way, before everything AIDAN did attempt to bond with her even though she rejected his attempts a lot of the time, but even while the Alexander was initially attacked in the Kerenza orbit, AIDAN checked up on Olivia, personally .
I don't think it's a huge jump to think he does mourn her sometimes.

A Very Voyager Holiday
@25daysofvoyager, day 8 submission.
After years of throwing Voyager's holiday parties, Neelix is surprised to learn that Federation winter holiday traditions include much more than just Christmas trees and Santa Claus.
This one got away from me a little bit... but then, it may have gotten away from Neelix too! Chapter 1 is below, but the full story will be on AO3 (4/5 chapters are already posted). Enjoy!
Chapter 1 “Eureka!” Neelix exclaimed as he finally found the box of Christmas ornaments he had been looking for, crammed into a corner in the cargo bay. Although he had only learned about Christmas once he joined the crew of Voyager, it had quickly become his second favorite holiday (after Prixin, of course!), and he was especially excited this year because Naomi Wildman was old enough now to help him decorate. He couldn’t wait to tell his goddaughter all about Santa Claus and his reindeer, or to see her face when she saw the lights on the Christmas tree for the first time.
In previous years, the tree had been on the holodeck and only available for viewing during the tree trimming party, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Neelix had noticed that many crew members never got the chance to enjoy it because someone always had to keep the ship running. So this year, he had decided to replicate a tree and set it up in the middle of the mess hall where everyone could enjoy it for the entire month.
Recent events (starless voids, failed slipstream drives, endless encounters with hostile aliens) had resulted in a steep decline in crew morale. But Neelix was certain that a month of holiday festivities would go a long way towards lifting everyones’ spirits.
Neelix entered the mess hall, grunting under the weight of the box of decorations as he hefted it onto the nearest table. It wasn’t meal time, so the mess hall was only sparsely occupied with crewmen scattered around reviewing PADDs or enjoying a beverage between shifts. As he scanned the room, Neelix was delighted to see Naomi sitting at a table near the massive pine tree, engrossed in a game of Kadis-kot with Seven. Neelix picked up the heavy box once more and carried it over to their table.
“Well now, how are my two favorite non-Starfleet crew members today?” Neelix said in an exuberant tone that made Naomi giggle and Seven roll her eyes. “How do you like the tree?” he continued, without waiting for an answer. “It’s a big one this year! I hope that we have enough decorations to cover it. If not, we may have to start making some new ornaments!”
In her typical Seven-of-Nine way, the ex-Borg raised an eyebrow at Neelix and excused herself, claiming to have other things to do much more important than decorating for a party. As he watched her leave, it occurred to Neelix that Seven probably didn’t know much about Christmas either. He made a mental note to include her in as much of the festivities as she would allow.
He turned back to Naomi who had begun to pull on his sleeve, trying to get his attention. “Neelix, what about the other holidays?”
Neelix looked at the little girl, quite confused. “Well, they come at different times of the year… you know, Prixin was a few months ago. And then of course Valentine’s Day is coming up and then St. Patrick’s Day…”
“I’m not talking about those ,” Naomi insisted. “I asked my mom about the tree and she said that she didn’t celebrate Christmas when she was a little girl. And neither did my dad. They don’t even have Christmas on Ktaria.”
“Well, I… oh. Hmm. Do you mean that Christmas isn’t a Federation-wide holiday?” Neelix suddenly felt very foolish. He had thought Christmas was just a fun celebration where everyone gives gifts and sings songs.  It had never occurred to him that it might have a specific cultural or even religious significance.
“But Ensign Wildman celebrated a different holiday when she was your age?”
Naomi nodded excitedly, “Yes! It’s called Hanukkah and there are games and candles and food and presents too!”
“Well it sounds like you know all about… Ha-nuh-kah?” Neelix said it slowly, trying to sound out the strange word.
“Only a little bit,” Naomi admitted. “Mom says we lit candles in our quarters last year, but I don’t remember. But she promised to tell me the story this year. And teach me how to play the game and everything. You can come too, if you want.”
“Naomi,” Neelix smiled warmly, “I think that is an excellent idea. In fact, that gives me an idea… but let me do some research first and if it pans out, I can tell you all about it!”
“Please, Neelix! Tell me now!” Naomi begged. “I’m old enough!”
Neelix chuckled lightly and his eyes danced with excitement. “I have no doubt that you are, my dear. Just give me until dinner time and if what I’m thinking is correct, you and I will plan a big holiday surprise for the whole crew!”
“Dinner time? You promise ?” Naomi raised an eyebrow skeptically and Neelix briefly wondered if that was a quirk she had picked up from Seven or from Captain Janeway.
“Cross my heart. Now, I’ve got to get working… I’ll see you later, Naomi!” Neelix called as he bustled out of the mess hall to start looking up Federation holidays.
Naomi watched her godfather leave and shrugged before turning to pack up her Kadis-kot board. Maybe Seven of Nine would have time to finish their game before dinner.

With Mistletoe and Presents for Pretty Girls
“Ok, what else do we need?” Deeks asks, surveying the spread in front of him. There’s a meat and cheese tray (he refuses to call it a charcuterie board), fruit, desserts, a variety of snacks, and drinks.
“A kitchen sink?” Kensi suggests wryly, peering over his shoulder. A tiny hand grabs ahold of his shirt, and he turns his head, grinning up into Caleb’s round face.
“What do you think? Should we add some peanut butter and jelly, maybe some spaghetti?”
“Tootie,” Caleb whispers with a grin that shows two tiny, perfect teeth. It’s pretty much Deeks’ favorite thing ever. Sophia has an almost identical set.
“Oh, you’re totally right. We definitely need more cookies,” Deeks says, leaning in to give Caleb a smacking kiss on the cheek. “How’s everyone doing out there?”
“Great. Your mom is entertaining Kilbride with scandalous stories from her past. I’m not sure if he’s amused or horrified,” Kensi reports.
“Hey, it’s got to be better than Arkady.”
“Kady,” Caleb repeats solemnly, looking around the room expectantly.
“Otherwise, everyone has drinks and food. They seem pretty happy.”
“Are we crazy to host a Christmas party when we’ve got twin one year olds running around?” Deeks asks.
“Probably,” Kensi confirms lightly.
“Speaking of twins, where’s Soph?”
“Oh, I left her with Eric and Nell.” Deeks purses his lips at that revelation, and she quickly adds, “Don’t worry. Sam’s on standby.”
“Good. I trust them. But they also are slightly insane,” Deeks says.
Smiling, he turns, bracing his back against the counter. He settles his hands on Kensi’s hips. “Hey, did I mention that you look fantastic?” he asks, smoothing a thumb over the soft fabric of her dress.
“If you like this, wait until you see tonight’s wardrobe,” she murmurs, leaning forward to brush her nose over his. Deeks’ breath catches, and he chuckles softly.
“Can’t wait.”
“Mm.” Kensi stays pressed against him for a few more seconds until Caleb decides he wants to be included and smushes his face between them. “Ok, ok, time to rejoin the party,” she says, snatching a mini quiche off the counter and popping it in her mouth.
Together, they head out into the living room, which is at capacity with the tree, manger, and guests packed inside. Said guests are gathered in a semi-circle, their attention focused on something in the center of the room.
The reason behind that focus becomes obvious when Deeks sees Sam toss Sophia above his head, and Nell says,
“Ok, ok, enough of that. Kensi left her in my charge and I’m not gonna let anything happen to Sophie.”
“Like I’d drop her,” Sam scoffs.
“All right, quit hogging the baby,” Rountree’s voice filters through.
“Oh no, it’s my turn,” Fatima protests.
“Looks like we didn’t need to provide any entertainment after all,” Deeks drawls, watching Sophia unwittingly participate in a round of musical baby. “Small children are sufficient.”
“Just so long as we get them back at the end of the night,” Kensi comments, stretching her neck to follow Sophia’s progress around the room.
“Ca down!” Caleb requests, kicking his legs as Kensi crouches to set him down. As soon as he hits the floor, he’s off running on his chubby legs, towards his sister, and the guests.
“Caleb!” Nell shouts out, squatting and holding her arms out. He runs towards her willingly, letting her scoop him up into her arms. “I call dibs.”
“Nell, it’s not a contest,” Callen reminds her, but she ignores him in favor of taking Caleb to a clear space and spinning him in tight circles.
The next few hours are spent enjoying food and drinks while the twins keep them entertained. Everyone has brought a gift of some type as well, and soon the room is littered with little strips of wrapping paper and tissue.
“Best Christmas party we’ve ever had,” Deeks sighs. Kensi’s curled up against his side, Sophia and Caleb settled on his lap. Most of the guests have left by now, but Eric and Nell are passed out on a chair together.
“It was.” Kensi lifts her head, pressing her lips to his for a lingering kiss. “How about we open that present?”
“Now?” Deeks asks in surprise.
“Yeah, the twins are asleep,” Kensi says.
“With Eric and Nell in the house.”.
“Eric sleeps like the dead and Nell drank a lot of egg nog,” Kensi reasons. “They’re not going to be waking up for a while.”
“I don’t know…”
“C’mon let’s be risky.” Pulling away from him, Kensi gives him that look he can’t resist.
“You are a menace,” he says with a grin.
***
A/N: Perhaps not the most traditional Christmas Party, but I hope you enjoyed it.

BLOG MOVE!
Long overdue, blog has become a complete mess, Hoping to enter 2025 with some more positive energy by being able to pre-empt blocking some real freaks out there who like to lurk on my page and a better focus on ic!
What this is going to look like:
Fresh transfer to a new blog, though I will slow drip in what people would prefer be transferred over*. Mild rework of muse page to remove muses that no longer or never generated interest. A tighter focus on what sparks joy for me as much as for my partners bc tbh i got kind of exhausted being 'the x person' or not feeling that all muses were regarded as equal in different fandoms.
Timetable:
I'm going to spend the next few days I have off doing the heavy lifting of actual coding/aesthetics/test posting, and so on. Over time, I will be finalizing my carrd to have more in depth information for all muses, as well as the easy-access mobile muse page for people who just want it short or sweet. I also intend to ensure each muse has a fully functional tag system before moving bc these same named bitches w a tbt appended are killing me. Is this Charlotte from B*rserk or Charlotte from Debede? Shut up past Kadi I'm going to kill you. This hopefully means I will be fully ready to go in early-mid January if not a little sooner. For now, I will still be semi-active/lurking here just grabbing everything I need, and will let you all know when that changes.
What's coming with me:
Dynamics/Ships
Headcanons
Most of you hopefully!
Probably most muses
Most fandoms, with a few greatly expanded character-wise
Any threads people want me to transfer*
Any IC or meta asks people want me to transfer*
*The focus at the start is on just setting a new daily writing habit, which means I will likely focus on new threads and asks to start. However, I don't intend to totally abandoned some threads that have been plotted or even just interest me. The main point is that I will put those on the back burner until I can give them the focus and energy they deserve. If there is a thread or ask you want on rotation moving forward, please fill out this form so I can hold on to it :D
If you 100% want to remain mutuals the new blog like this post and I will follow you once it's identifiable as mine/not a bot.

4-15-24 (I sure am a yapper)
Have a good night, everyone!!!! <33
OKAY! So, here's what happened to me today!! Well, I left school early to pick up my new glasses!!! :))) I got out of geometry, too, so it was worth it. However, I'll have to take finals now since I technically missed 3 or more days. (Finals are something you must do at my school if you miss 3 or more days, so it gets people to attend school more. It's basically like a huge test your teacher gives you every block on the last day of school, and anyone who doesn't have to take them starts summer a day early.) When I got back, I sat at my friend's table for lunch! Well, I used to sit up away from everyone since I had bad anxiety, and there was this group of kids that also sat there for that same reason. I stopped sitting there recently because of an ex-friend (who I will write a post on another time). Anyway, my friend (who I will call "Kady") told me I could sit with her and her friends! (some of the theatre kids) Yes, that's right. I am A THEATRE KID: DDDD ANYWAYS, I just sit there and don't say much because I don't know everyone fully yet, and it's a bit hard for me to make friends. I just kinda stare at them and laugh awkwardly every so often, which kinda sucks. Does anyone have any social interaction tips? I'm trying to be more social and less AWKWARD. I mean, I have a huge debate in my science class tomorrow. I actually got picked as the leader. I'm pretty nervous, but I have the speech and everything written, so I think I'll be okay. Actually thinking about asking my science teacher if she would sponsor me and start a debate club! I enjoy debating and whatnot! Well, that's enough nonsense yapping today; sorry to bore you :((( Please leave social interaction tips if you have anyyyyyyy!!!
(P.S.: MY FRIEND KADY MADE ME A BRACELET WITH THE LESBIAN COLORS ON ITT!!! POGGER FRIEND RIGHT THERE)

the magicians s1e11
threesome episode aka best episode of television of all time
so we've got the virgo blade and the leo. whole knifey zodiac do we think?
okay this is where i start to see the margo i love dearly. she and eliot are unbelievably reasonable and pragmatic about the deal-striking (also alice. malice 4ever.) and it doesn't read as a lack of emotion to me. particularly for margo it feels like she sees it as a weighing of consequences and she knows it's going to be worse if they don't do this. she's smart and cares about the greater good!
i always forget how gross this show can be until they do something like the classroom death scene.
"i'm just a little shaky, i don't like dying" / "i am fabulous, aren't i?" these women are so the entire world to me.
"i agree with quentin." "that's because he blows you!"
all free trader beowulf scenes make me nervous because i know what's going to happen and it makes me desperately sad
i don't object to the read that julia is "god-touched" but i wouldn't ever accept that as an "explanation" of things i think are part of her inherent character. like, she's smart and talented and hard-working and resilient because she's julia, not because she's god-touched. yes?
"i'm in too. i heard the word illegal."
ah horribly brutal episode poor penny's mentor
"magic missile? that's like straight up dungeons and dragons" me every time i use magic missile playing straight up dungeons and dragons
okay but what do we think q plays in dnd
"what if we got guns?" and q's "no, fillory is a pristine non-industrialized society" prime directive blah blah blah bullshit is so crazy to me. margo is so very, very right. she is SO RIGHT to care about their lives-- even if they wouldn't win that way-- over q's concern for a world that, frankly, he doesn't know is really real, just loves because fillory was his childhood.
there is something deeply funny about the picture they make in julia's doorway-- q and alice and el and margo standing there like a school field trip, which is exactly what you know kady thinks they look like.
i do feel bad for penny! but he picks some shit music to dissociate to!
"giving a shit about somebody you give a shit about doesn't evaporate the second they fuck up."
emotion bottles my beloved
i like that emotions are hot pink. they would be, i think.
i like your sweater. i saw no reason not to share.
unfortunately there is no way in hell that an unfeeling q (and therefore, i have to think, a not-socially-anxious q) would use the phrase "fuck some shit up"
jesus christ in heaven the first few seconds with the emotions back are going to get to me in a major majorrrrrr way. el being perfectly capable of repressing his emotions immediately. (well. sort of.) alice's first impulse being to emphasize that she loves quentin, loves him so much, and q wouldn't have said it back but he can't help saying it back and also telling her that he's all alone. margo asking, in the saddest little baby voice in the world, why aren't we friends anymore, el? everyone here should go to therapy.
poor miraculous julia i love you so much i'm so sorry about everything that's about to happen. very interested in olu calling her her "beautiful daughter." i don't think that's an everyone term and i do think it's fitting that jules gets it.
alice giggling and high-fiving penny and hugging him... best girl in history.
also it's kind of nuts that you can't use your emotions in battle magic. like, that's the implication. and it seems like the inverse to what i would have expected.
they walk through margo's bedroom door and i am seated popcorn and an icee
there's this thing about you, q. you actually believe in magic. we all know it's real but you believe in it.
do we actually believe that margo's never loved something like that? i'm not really inclined to say that. honestly. just don't buy it.
eliot waugh man with the longest arms in the world
yes i do consider the threesome a kind of church service and yes i think it is deeply deeply awful, the consequences of that act for alice. how selfish and unthinking q was in that moment, even tho he is my beautiful baby son, it just kills me thinking about his willingness to do something like that despite the impact on alice.
YOU EVER THINK ABOUT HOW QUENTIN WAS THE ONE WHO KISSED ELIOT

Character Concept: Micaela
It's been a couple of days now (citation needed), so let's talk about Dark Orange: Reborn Chapter 5: Illuminated Girls, in a character writing concept post.
Featuring Micaela.
First a little backstory
For those of you new around here, Micaeala is a researcher introduced in Book 1, Dark Orange: Reborn.
Hailing from Castle Cerulean, she knew of the Enclave as their number one enemy, and lived in preparation of the battle. This changed when she tried to kill Ace. Rather than take her life, he explained that they only had questions. Those questions gave her doubts about Cerulean's intentions.
What followed was a look behind the curtain. She saw Cerulean for what it truly was, and has been having a bad time since then. Turns out, they were still better than the worst of things out in Old New York City.
Having reached the Enclave in book 2 though, she's finding out that Cerulean's hell might actually be her heaven. Cute girls, a comfortable apartment, and no dealing with lunatic soldiers? What more could she ask for? Probably not having to fight gods.
That's the backstory...
The Concept comes in with the creation of her character.
Micaela did not exist in the story's draft. She came about when I needed a bridge from the first arc to the second. At the time, I was still working out the details of the Castle Cerulean arc. It wasn't until I got to her introduction that I knew where I was going, though I knew we wouldn't immediately focus on her. That led to a bit of intrigue with Peter, but this ain't about him, this is about Micaela!
If I had to say which characters went into her conceptualization, it'd probably be Alice and Kady from Syfy's The Magician. Makise Kurisu from Steins;gate and Robin from Stranger Things.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kady (Jade Tailor) mostly in her design but you definitely get a bit of her coolness when Micaela's calm, Kurisu too. Mostly though...
She's brains and a whole lot of nervousness. Turns out, you don't just go easily from laboratory to fighting gods.
As a character in herself, she's (untentionally ironically) the straight-man of the Blue trio with King and Khalaf. One being a very alien dark disciple, the other being an insane ghost. It is not the position she wanted, but she also won't turn it down.
When it comes to writing
Micaela is fun to write. Acting on your intentions is an element of DO:R's narrative, and Micaela is the quickest to act on hers. Did an actress flirt with her the moment she got the Enclave and tell her to call? Well, she's doing it that night.
Because she so readily responds to her intentions, she does not have fun with the slow creeping horror of the story, and also can't turn her back on it. As the first non-Enclave "person" The Numbers meet, she has a different outlook on what Old New York city is like, and a different response to it. She's not able to run with the revelations like they are, but she has been essential to the answers they've gotten so far, and her curiosity (another trait she gets from Alice) keeps her deeply intrigued.
She's also a nice lighter perspective from them, as these last two chapters best illustrate. While they work on how to move forward, she's doesn't hesitate to enjoy the simpler things.
I think that'll wrap up this concept post...until next time!

I got a lot of messages like this : "I'm so glad to see you active again!" " Thanks for coming back to us" and stuff like that..
I just want to say, this is Me a new person, I know the old admins but they're no longer active on this account and it's a sad thing to let this account with a significant audience go. I'll try my to answer your enquires, but kindly note that I don't know everything.
He's not doing aegyo for no one, he's just being cheerful and trying to try new things and he's being more lenient and easy going doing all stuff he was told fans loved. So he's pretty much happy for the new attention he's getting. He changed that's pretty much it.
For the Kadi news, they were seen outside eating twice maybe 🤔 I don't remember, in the past few months. They were in Ksoo's car.

Hi I’m an 8th/9th grade teacher and I’m looking to buy some new books for my classroom and you seem to be reading a lot of YA recently!! Would you mind sharing some recommendations you think are uh appropriate for me to purchase through the school? You seem to read a lot of fantasy/sci fi/romance which is a lot of what my kids like 🥰 thanks!
YA fantasy/scifi and romance! Yessss I can!
I just finished Legendborn by Tracy Deonn and started it's sequel today and it was AMAZING. Highly recommend. It's a King Author + magic retelling, Black Main Character written by a Black Author and done SO WELL because duh, own voices. It's dark academia fantasy and such a killer debut novel FOR SURE. And it's got a the classic YA love triangle and some romance thrown in too. Plus February is Black History Month, great time to support BIPOC authors 💜 (Duolgoy)
Tumblr media
Scythe by Neil Shusterman is a YA SciFi dystopian and its SO GOOD. It's a story about how in the future, death no longer exists. The only way a human can die is by being gleaned, aka murdered, by the Scythes. They are trained to deal out death to those who deserve it and contain the human population in the most humane way possible. Yet, there is lots of betrayals and power plays and double crossings happening between those in power of the Sycthe organization. And yes, a very cute side plot romance here too (Trilogy)
Tumblr media
The Summoning by Kelley Armstrong. It's a YA Paranormal Urban Fantasy. It's actually like the YA verison of one of my favorite adult series of hers and it's set in the same world with little Easter eggs connecting the series. But can be read as a standalone trilogy. It follows Chloe discovering she is a necromancer and thrust into this supernatural world and all that comes with it, including a werewolf love interest and the classic YA love triangle and romance. Still so good honestly too. (Trilogy)
Tumblr media
This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab. It's a YA Dark Urban Fantasy that basically explores the overall themes of how humans can be the monsters too. It's SO GOOD. Basically 2 kids of powerful men on either side of a war that is destroying their city, must choose whether to become heroes or villains—and friends or enemies—with the future of their home at stake.... and while one is human, one might be something else entirely 👀 Literally it's so good. And yes, it does end up having romance too (Duology)
Tumblr media
Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas. It's a YA Paranormal fantasy story about a gay trans boy who while trying to get his family to accept both his gender and his powers (the men are traditionally spirit guides and the women are healers), accidentally summons a ghost, who then refuses to move on. And yes, its got a VERY sweet and cute romance here too. Plus own voices trans rep (Standalone)
Tumblr media
Illuminae Files by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. A YA SciFi Trilogy where it's one of the most unique formats of crafting a story I've ever read. It's told through a series of files and emails and transcripts and it's SO FUN. It follows the story of Kady and Ezra and the journey they go on after their tiny space mining colony was attacked and destroyed. And oh yeah, they had just recently broken up but they Still love each other 😏 and what in the AI happens in this book too! Lol (Trilogy)
Tumblr media
And I really wasn't kidding about it being a uniquely written book and yet somehow the audiobooks are just as well done too lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warcross by Marie Lu. A SciFi YA Dystopian Novel that is basically like an emersive video game. It follows our main character as she becomes lowkey a spy and bounty hunter. Yes, it's got romance and betrayal and plot twists and rainbow hair and constant reminders that nothing is truly as it seems. And it's so good. (Duology)
Tumblr media
As always, make sure you look up content warnings. I didn't list them here this time. But these are all scifi/fantasy YA novels that include a fun romantic side plot that I've LOVED when I read them. Hope this helps and thanks for asking! I have more I can suggest too of course

Olympique Lyonnais - Paris Saint-Germain UWCL OLPlay Postgame Interviews
The lengths I will go to to avoid translating an OLPLay Night Systems interview, you have no idea.
Blah blah standard disclaimers apply; @OL Comms Dept please enable my Starbucks addiction or chip in for my AC bill; banning stans from stadiums would make this sport so much better; y'all know the speech by now.
Sidenote: my bone to pick with this journalist is he doesn't really know women's football. He did an OL Night Systems interview last season where he basically said Lyon Fem should field all French [academy] players (racist); speaks super condescendingly to the female players (sexist); and seemed much more interesting in the men's academy game which was being broadcast right after the UWCL postgame show. Timothee Piron and Coralie Ducher tried to save the interviews, but between him and the fucking academy director posing as a journalist, it didn't go well.
OLYMPIQUE LYONNAIS OLPLAY POSTGAME INTERVIEWS
AMEL MAJRI OLPLAY POSTGAME INTERVIEW
Journalist: Diani, 80th minute. Dumornay, 84th minute. I'd like to present to you Mrs. 86th minute, Mrs. 3-2 win, it's Mrs. Amel Majri. Good evening, Amel.
Majri: Good evening.
Journalist: You're going to have to pull out the exact numbers. 300?
Timothee: Your next game will be your 300th game with Olympique Lyonnais. [this almost guarantees she starts against EAG on Wednesday]. That will be an important game. But this one, the one we just experienced, it's important too.
Journalist: Talk us through it. In those 300 games - and I am sure you will talk about the end of this one as well, you were in the heart of Groupama Stadium. You've experienced comebacks, upsets like I am sure.
Majri: Yes, we -
Journalist: Which one stands out for you, before we talk about tonight's.
Majri: The one in the [2018] UWCL Final.
Journalist: [sounding surprised] It was already the UWCL. Okay. [How could he not know it??] Tell us what was said in the locker room. What was said on the substitutes bench up to the 80th minute when PSG was showing they were a good team. What happened after? But before the comeback, what was going through your head? Because we couldn't understand it, even with Timothee Piron and Coralie Ducher explaining it.
Majri: At halftime, we knew that we had done some good things in the first half. We respected what we had worked on all week. Unfortunately the only thing that was missing was the finishing. We weren't rewarded [with a goal]. In the second half it was the same, we weren't scoring, unfortunately we were down 2-0. But what was good is that we kept playing our game. We tried to play and disrupt PSG. We didn't freak out either, we believed. And then when we got control of the ball we started to put our chances away.
Journalist: So the first goal, it's the 80th minute. It's that goal from Kadi[diatou] Diani. You who was on the field, what were you looking at? Did you think you could come back like the men's team?
Majri: Yes. Also we - we saw the ball go in, we could also hear the fans cheering, they were really pushing us. We believed. We knew we had it in us to get those second and third goals because we have so much experience in this competition. And yeah, it's a UWCL game. When you keep going all game, you get results like tonight.
Journalist: And then you see Melchie Dumornay, 84th minute. She sends a missile. it was a magnificent shot. You wouldn't have been able to stop it. You, Amel, did you say to yourself, "it's the 84th minute, there's six minutes remaining plus added time"?
Majri: Yeah, I was fresh. I found myself central, I could see Melchie and I asked for the ball. I didn't know if she was tracking behind me, I feigned and then shot across goal.
Journalist: You shot on your favorite foot, your left foot. The control, the shot, all with the left foot.
Majri: We worked on it. We worked on it with Camille [Abily] all week in training. Shoot across goal without forcing it. It paid off tonight.
Timothee: If you watch the replays, you shot right at the post. It couldn't have gone in any better.
Majri: Yeah, I had a good look. I was happy.
Timothee: How did you feel when you saw it go in? Did you say to yourself - we had a PSG who was completely dominating, and then you had that comeback. How did you experience that?
Majri: It's the beauty - it's what makes football beautiful, honestly. Scenarios like that, they're the type of scenarios you dream about. When it happens to you you're super happy. But you have to keep yourself grounded and say it's only the first leg, if we want the second leg to be as good, we have to win it. We learnt a lot during this game, it was an emotional rollercoaster. We have to learn from it even if we won.
Journalist: Coralie [Ducher] was telling us earlier with her experience -
Coralie: It's a bit outdated.
Journalist: Outdated, I was just going to say it's been a while. It's just because Amel [Majri] went through it 30 minutes ago. Psychologically, do games like this leave an impression on champions like yourself, even if they're going to be ready for you next Sunday at Parc des Princes? Psychologically speaking, are you and Sonia [Bompastor] going to say "okay, we messed up in the first hour, we maybe weren't at our best. But now we have an unexpected opportunity, we completed the comeback." Is it something you will work on psychologically?
Majri: Yeah, of course, we need to be able to use it. But I also think that - maybe not for an hour - but I honestly think we had a good first half [debatable..] We know what note we have to end on and what to work on. It gave them confidence to score, then they scored a second. We struggled for maybe 20, 30 minutes. But I think, as you said, those sort of games come down to experience and we were able to show we won eight UWCLs for a reason.
Journalist: Coralie, one last question before we release Amel.
Coralie: What are you expected for the second leg? Because they are going to want revenge.
Majri: They're also going to want to go out and win this game. Therefore I think they're going to play a bit more freely and find spaces for themselves. Here they were relying a lot on Chawinga and their attacking strengths. But we're also going there to win, to put away our chances and hopefully win the title at the end.
Coralie: Timothee and I really thought that Geyoro was a force in the midfield. Did you feel that as well? Personally I thought that when you came on, it brought another rhythm. Do you feel as though you brought something different when you came on, with maybe playing a little more on the left side and widening the field? Or - it's true that Geyoro was really a force. She's the driving force in the PSG midfield.
Majri: Yes, but - yes, it's true she was a force. Beyond that, I really like cutting inside. So I was up against her a lot. But no, no - it's something I like to do, drifting inside. But it's true that Geyoro, yeah ...
Coraline: And the goal was very much like Ada [Hegerberg], you crossed in front of goal.
Majri: [laughs] Yeah, shoutout to Ada.
Journalist: I see on the jersey "We Play Strong". That suits the team well.
Majri: It suits us.
Journalist: In any case, the Majri family will be eager to congratulate you, and even the youngest boys - or rather youngest girls - will see that famous goal and that incredible atmosphere with 38,000 fans. Amel, thank you for joining us.
Majri: Thank you.
MELCHIE DUMORNAY OLPLAY POSTGAME INTERVIEW
[This interview is done by my arch nemesis aka the fucking academy director who poses as a journalist]
"Journalist": Melchie, what an amazing scenario. And that goal, those goals, and the final win.
Dumornay: It was incredible this evening. We went through an emotional rollercoaster tonight. The game was very difficult for us, so we showed a lot of character and never gave up to get the win in the end.
"Journalist": We felt in the first half that you were getting a lot of ball but with your back to the play. And as soon - when we were able to get the ball in front of you, you lit up the midfield.
Dumornay: Obviously it's something we have worked on all week to put ourselves in the right situations to hurt our opponent. So I was able to help the team that way, so I'm really happy. And we'll continue so we can be even better in the upcoming games.
"Journalist": Say something about the public, who really lifted you.
Dumornay: They're incredible. They gave us that adrenaline rush which pushed us to get that win. And they were really behind us. So all we could do is make them proud and not disappoint them when we were playing at home against our rivals. The team opposite was very scrappy, it's always difficult. So it's a lot of duels. And I think we deserved the win because we were able to get it despite the difficulties.
"Journalist": We know you've been waiting for these UWCL games, which were often delayed for you because of [your] injuries. You're not disappointed tonight.
Dumornay: I'm not disappointed because we won, but I think we can do even better. We conceded two goals so I think we need to work on that for the second leg, to avoid those sorts of situations. And now that we have the advantage, the game today is over but we need to learn from this game to be better for the next one, because it will decisive for going to the final.
"Journalist": Thank you, Melchie.
Dumornay: Thank you.
DAMARIS OLPLAY POSTGAME INTERVIEW
[interview still done by my arch nemesis. As Taylor Swift once said, "I hate it here"]
"Journalist": Dama[ris], it's still an incredible scenario tonight. It started badly and at the 80th minute, everything fell into place.
Damaris: Yeah, I think that's Lyon. I think we did a really good first half but we just lacked efficiency in front of goal. And then they scored two goals, it was hard for us but that's Lyon as well. We have the experience. We did it for us, we did it for the fans. It was really important today for us to show up and for the injured players as well, I think we made a magnificent effort for everyone. Now we need to prepare for next week.
"Journalist": There was a turning point in the game, the save by Christiane Endler which avoided that third goal.
Damaris: Yeah. Christiane Endler, we've said it so many times, it's nothing new. I think she changed the game as well. After her save we picked up the reins and we created a lot of chances, and that's how we scored. We have the best goalkeeper here. I'm happy because she's always behind me and that always keeps me calm.
"Journalist": It was also a big battle in the midfield. It's also an important role in your defensive position today.
Damaris: Yeah, it's always like that against a team like PSG. It's a lot of one vs ones, a lot of duels. But that's football today, UWCL semifinals are going to have a lot of tackles. We need to win all the duels. That's how we were more efficient in the second half and how we won.
"Journalist": What are you expecting in the return leg?
Damaris: I don't know after this. We have a week to recover and see how we can prepare the best that we can.
"Journalist": Thank you, Dama[ris].
Damaris: Thank you.
SONIA BOMPASTOR OLPLAY POSTGAME INTERVIEW
Journalist: Sonia [Bompastor] is with us. Sonia, thank you very much. Amel [Majri] came and spoke with us 25 minutes ago. It's already great publicity for your players. There are a lot of smiles. First of all we were talking about [emotional] rollercoasters. Where are you at right now? Top, bottom, middle?
Bompastor: It's true that in football we like experiencing those kind of emotions. It's a completely insane scenario, even more so when you're at home with the crowd behind you. We really experienced such high emotions. So we're still savoring it.
Journalist: There was perhaps a little less savoring before the 80th minute. Somewhat related, you got scolded by the referee. What happened there?
Bompastor: No, I was gonna say that I find it difficult to stay calm on the sidelines. I'm deeply invested in the game.
Journalist: You have legitimate reasons not to stay calm. Up until the 80th minute, it had been going badly from the start. How would you narrate the end of the night? 80th minute, 84th minute, 86th minute. Did you watch the men's game or something?
Bompastor: [laughs awkwardly] Yes, yes, it's true, we used it for inspiration. In any case, the Lyon fans have been spoiled because between the men's team and the women's teams, there are absolutely crazy scenes. Mostly in our favor. But yeah, actually, since the start of the game, at halftime, I always believed that it was possible, even when we were down 1-0, we were quickly down 2-0 at the start of the second half but I knew that if we scored one goal, we would be able to get something out of it. So those were my words at halftime, very positive to give even more confidence to my players. And we have such a quality team with a lot of talent up top. So I'm not surprised that we were able to score those goals, even if opposite us there is a very good team, that doesn't make it easy.
Timothee: Sometimes we talk about experience and it's a little bit abstract. Is that not what experience actually is? Knowing that no matter the state you are in now, by getting a goal back you can go and get a result. Is there not a bit "know-how" in how to handle big games? Because honestly what happened tonight, it's pretty crazy. Is that not what experience is?
Bompastor: Yeah, obviously it helps. The more games you experience with different scenarios, the more you are able mentally to stay grounded when it is going well and not give up when it is more dire. I think that when we were down 2-0 there was Christiane Endler who made a decisive save which allowed us to stay just a little bit in the game. Then right after we scored that first goal. And yeah, I think that after having scored that first goal, tonight what really helped us was the crowd's support. We could really hear them, and they pushed us to score those two other goals which allowed us to win tonight.
Coralie: I brought up the mental aspect a lot. I think the teams tonight, especially Lyon because Paris [Saint-Germain] kind of did the positive, that [mental aspect] played a lot. Did you have some key players, I'm thinking of Amel Majri coming on who did a lot of good, they calmed the team down?
Bompastor: Yeah. In any case I like how the substitutes did when they came on. They brought energy at a time when the team needed it. Often when you are a coach, you anticipate different scenarios, so you're like "we're going to make this change to bring such and such thing". Tonight the energy of the players but especially Amel [Majri]'s finishing, for example, those brought a lot of positive things. I'm happy for them personally because it's never easy when you don't start a game. You're always a little bit frustrated, you're a competitor, you want playing time and to participate in those types of games. They knew how to be very positive for the group, they were able to be decisive as soon as they came on. And that allowed us to walk away with a positive result. It's a cumulation of things. I think the team is very strong mentally. It's a team that never gives up. Maybe tonight there would have been reasons to do so, and that's why experience is so necessary at this level.
Journalist: This Saturday, there was a good article on Pierre Sage [men's coach] in the publication L'Equipe [Bompastor laughs in disbelief off-camera] The Lyon men's coach insists a lot on this team and his substitutes. We can see it with Cherki, others. Could you tell us a little bit, without giving up any secrets, what work you do with the girls [note: he could have said players but said "girls"] who aren't necessarily regular starters at the start?
Bompastor: Well you know, I was going to tell you that for the coach and for the staff, those are the most important players. Because at the end of the day the ones who are playing are happy, they're in a good dynamic. But the consideration and the importance in the communication and relations you have with the players who sometimes have less playing time, that's what makes the difference. Because at a certain point they feel they're taken into consideration, they feel they're involved in the plans. And even if it's difficult in the heat of the moment, you have to acknowledge it as a human being. So when the coach comes over to you and says "I know it's hard for you, I know you want to play but you are going to play your role in a different way." Tonight for example for Amel, I think she is as happy tonight as she would have been had she started.
Journalist: Yes, that's what she showed us earlier. Coralie, another question before we let Sonia go. Sonia, what is going to be the schedule? I was going to say in the next hours. This game, are you going to rewatch it before tomorrow morning?
Bompastor: Usually I like to give myself 24 hours to come back down and see it better in hindsight. But sometimes I rewatch it on the go. It's always better to rewatch the game when there was a positive result, that's for sure. But we experienced a lot of emotions and we will need to really compartmentalize them and stay level-headed. You can count on us because we know it's going to be difficult next week.
Journalist: I also brought up video in my question. Are you going to show the players in the next hours how you concede those two goals? Are you going to specifically work on this game? Paris Saint-Germain showed some really good things that they will want to replicate Sunday at 4pm at the Parc des Princes.
Bompastor: Yeah, of course. That's the role of the staff, to analyze the game, go over the tactics, go over what Paris did on their side, go over what we did on ours, what caused us problems, what did we do well. We'll do analysis with the team and with individual players. There will be video sessions pretty much every day so the message is extremely clear for the players and for the team.
Journalist: Another question from Timothee, because in 4 minutes we're going to watch the men's reserve team.
Timothee: It's pretty crazy the different stages a team will go through. For maybe 20 minutes Lyon was being put through the wringer. In a flash that changes. After the first [Lyon] goal people were like "Paris is going to collapse". It's crazy how a team can just come together or like Paris did just collapse in an instant. It's complicated to analyze, really.
Bompastor: Yeah, well, you have to analyze it through the lens of the mental aspect is fundamental at this level. With regards to that, as you said, in those moments where it's difficult, you're down 2-0, you can't give up. You need to have the strength to be resilient and stand up to it. And when it's going well not to be too euphoric. And that's the experience from the players as well which helps enormously. It's the work of the staff, the coach, to compartmentalize all those emotions. But you only experience those types of emotions in football. That's why we like it and why we're fans.
